CadPro won a Gold Cup for ‘Unmanned signalling embedded system for train level crossing protection’ and another award for ‘Ship Handling Simulation System’ in the APTICA competion in Thailand. This is a great achievement of Vietnam at an international grand prix contest. More importantly, the award was won in the most difficult field, industry. CadPro’s product was highly appreciated for its synchronous design, including the embedded computer, sensor solutions and lightning-proof solutions. This product was first used in December 2001 at the Thuong Cat crossing point, north of the Gia Lam station, Hanoi. After one month’s effective operation, the system was then installed at the Thanh Am crossing point, Gia Lam district, Hanoi. At that time, Nguyen Nhu Dien, head of the department of crossing point management of the Ha Hai Railway Factory, said that the system developed by CadPro operated well during its trial operation. The system could make one million calculations per second and distinguish vibrations made by the train and other transport means. The success at the APICTA 2003 has proved a proper development road map of CadPro, which has focused on manufacturing complete products, instead of manufacturing software products only. It was the way for Vietnam-made products to reach the international standard and win international awards. |
